Our Weston client and her two young daughters relocated to the east coast after living in San Francisco. Her designer, who was recently on the cover of “House Beautiful” called and asked us if we would upholster a “boudoir”. We have upholstered many walls over the years – dining rooms, living rooms, breakfast nooks and conference rooms to name a few. Why not a boudoir? The designer chose a very handsome platinum gray velvet to cover the walls. The room already had painted gray walls but this luxurious, warm velvet transformed it into a retreat for a hard working single mom to escape to. The walls and casings were then framed in a matching double welt to finish it all off. The large round mirror gave a nice contrast to the vertical and horizontal lines in the room and the Ralph Lauren sconces and oversized chrome coffee table helped complete the retreat.
